新富良野プリンスホテルスタッフのオススメスポットをご紹介しています。
Some recommendations of places in Furao have been introduced in [HELLO FURAPURI] by Shin Furano Prince Hotel staff.
今回ご紹介するのは、「FUN」さんのワカサギ釣り体験。
新富良野プリンスホテル 宿泊部門（ハウスキーピング担当）の庄司有沙（しょうじありさ）が
宿泊部門（宿泊ベル・ドア担当）伊山彩音（いやまあやね）と 料飲部門（サービス担当）羽鳥花梨（はとりかりん）と一緒にご案内いたします♪
We will introduce ‘ice fishing for Japanese pond smelt’ provided by “Fun” this time.
MS.Arisa Shoji, a housekeeper of the rooms department, introduce it with Ms.Ayane Iyama, a bell and door staff of guest service department, and Ms.Karin Hatori,a staff of food & drink department.
ワカサギ釣りは、新富良野プリンスホテルから車でおよそ45分、南富良野町のかなやま湖で体験します。
真冬の雪道、運転が不安な方も心配要りません。
「FUN」さんのワカサギ釣り体験 は、新富良野プリンスホテルから安心の送迎付き。
行きも帰りも真っ白な銀世界を車窓からゆっくり楽しむことができます。
Lake Kanayama located in Minami Furano Town is the palace for ice fishing which is about 45 minutes from Shin Furano Prince Hotel by car.
But you don’t have to worry about driving on icy roads even if you are not good at it.
Transportation service is included in ‘Experience of ice fishing for Japanese pond smelt’ of “FUN”.
You can enjoy the scenery of white world from a car window on the way to and from the lake.
朝8時、お迎えの車が到着します。
車に乗り込み出発！
車内では、地元富良野に詳しい「FUN」のスタッフさんが楽しくお話をしてくださいます。
自然のこと、アクティビティのこと、美味しい食べ物やお店のこと、色々と教えていただけるのも嬉しいですね。
この日は道中、エゾシカにも出会いました。

Get in the car and let’s go!
A staff from “FUN” who knows Furano very well has a comfortable talk with us in the car.
He told us about nature, activities, tasty food and restaurants which was good to hear.
We saw Yezo deer on that day.
そうこうしている間に気がつけばかなやま湖に到着。
湖一面真っ白です！
凍った湖に足をおろす・・・なんだかドキドキしますね。
真冬の湖面の氷の厚さはおよそ50㎝、簡単には割れないようです。
ワクワクしながら一歩一歩進みます。
前日雪が降ったこともあり、ふわふわ、ぎゅっぎゅっと雪の感触も面白いものでした。
釣り場に向かって歩く間も、とにかく楽しい！
We got to Lake Kanayama before we knew it. There was snow as far as the eye could see. We felt uneasy to step onto the frozen lake.
The ice of the lake is about 50 cm thick in winter, so it doesn’t break easily.
We felt powdery and coarse when we walked because it snowed the day before we went.
You will have fun on the way to the fishing point.
釣り場に到着すると、
二重に張られた小さなハウスの中には、安定した座り場が準備され糸を垂らす穴が開けられていて準備万端。
竿も受け取るだけで釣りが始められます。
エサはさしむし。こちらも針に付けてから竿を渡してくださるので、虫が苦手な方も安心です。
When we reached the fishing point, we found a house that had stable seats and holes to drop lines. Which means we could start fishing immediately after receiving the fishing rod. The staff will put your bait (worms) on your fishing line. Don’t worry about that if you don’t like bugs.
釣り方のレクチャーを受け、いよいよ氷の穴に糸を垂らします！
ワカサギは主に湖底にいるそう。
2月のかなやま湖では、およそ13m ほど糸を垂らし待ちます。
釣り方にはちょっとしたコツがあり、集中力と反射神経が大事。
教えていただいたようにやってみると釣れ始めました！
キラキラしたワカサギが1匹ずつあがります。
After learning how to fish, we dropped lines through holes in the ice.
Japanese pond smelt live at the bottom of the lake.
we need to drop about 13 m line in Lake Kanaya in February.
You need attention span, quick reflexes and to get a hang of fishing.
We followed his tips then started catching them.

この日は2匹、3匹と一度に複数釣りあげることはできなかったのですが、
糸を垂らせばかかる、というスタッフも！
大きさは多くが7,8㎝サイズ。でも、中には10㎝を超えるものも。
ワカサギの寿命は1年から3年ほどで、時々3年魚（10㎝超）がかかることもあるそうです。
1月中旬以降は子持ちワカサギもかかります。
かなやま湖では、貯水率が下がる3月が一番釣れるそう。
これから最も釣れる時期に入りますね！
I couldn’t catch two or three at the same time but some caught them easily. The size of fish were mainly about 7 or 8 cm. Some of them were over 10 cm.
Life of a Japanese pond smelt is normally a year to three years. It sometimes happens that one three years fish is caught. You might be able to catch them with roe after the middle of January. The season that water storage rate goes down is March in Lake Kanayama which is the best month to fish.
さてさて、ワカサギ釣りのもうひとつの楽しみといえば、その場でワカサギを食べること！
下処理したワカサギを天ぷらにしてくださいます。
One of other things when you go ice fishing is to eat them right away.
The staff will cook TEMPURA after preparation.
熱々の揚げたては最高に美味しい！！！
みんなでワイワイ楽しく美味しくいただきました。
Freshly-fried TEMPURA is so delicious!!
We enjoyed eating them.

“FUN '' provides cooking, so guests just wait for TEMPURA to be done.
You don’t need to bring any fishing and cooking equipment. Also, they already have made holes in the ice.
This is the experience program empty-handed.
We know your baggage (including ski, snowboard set…) will be big on trips in winter.
But we want you to be able to freely enjoy. Just remember it will be really cold in winter in Furano. Please make sure you wear something warm.
