～ HELLO ふらプリ 風のガーデン ～ ～ HELLO FURAPURI Kaze no Garden ～

「HELLOふらプリ」、今回は『風のガーデン』のご紹介です♪
Hello everyone!“Hello Fura Puri” would like to introduce you to “Kaze no Garden” (Windy Garden) today.
2008年、脚本家：倉本聰氏のテレビドラマ「風のガーデン」の舞台となった、プリンスグランドリゾート富良野の『風のガーデン』。
ドラマの舞台となったここは、旭川のガーデナー：上野砂由紀さんによる設計のもと、二年を費やし完成しました。
そのガーデンが、今もずっと生き続けています。
“Kaze no Garden” of Shin Furano Prince Hotel was used as a setting for the 2008 TV drama series, “Kaze no Garden,” screenwriter by Soh Kuramoto. Designed by a
gardener from Asahikawa, Sayuki Ueno, this garden took two years to complete, and remains today!
毎年、雪解けの季節が来ると、ガーデナーによる手入れが始まります。
2020年春、人々にとって予期せぬ事態となっている今も、自然はいつもと同じように活動を始めています。
こんな時だからこそ、これまでと変わりない美しいガーデンをご覧いただきたい、そんな思いを抱きながら、黙々と手入れを続けるガーデナーたちがそこにはいます。
Gardeners begin their care for the garden every year, once the snow begins to melt. In the present spring of 2020, during this unforeseen situation we are all facing,
nature has commenced its usual activity. Especially at a time like this, gardeners are caring for the garden here without fail;
wishing everyone can again view the unchanging beauty of the garden.

Spring in Furano
暖かい空気に包まれ、春を感じた新芽が膨らむ。
かと思えば、朝目覚めると、辺り一面雪に覆われ真っ白。
でも、その雪もあっという間に解けて。
移り変わりの激しい気候に振り回されながら少しずつ少しずつ夏に向かう。
The buds embraced by the warm air feels spring has come, and begin to expand. Waking up in the morning, one notices that it’s still all white around with snow.
But then this snow melts quickly and in the unstable weather that changes frequently, little by little, summer arrives.
それが、富良野の春。
This is spring in Furano.
スピレア
Spiraea japonica
『風のガーデン』では、背丈の小さな球根花から芽吹き始めます。
もちろん、春を感じるのは動物も一緒。
周囲をカラマツ林に囲まれた『風のガーデン』は、常に自然と共存していて、シカ、キツネ、タヌキ、ウサギなど共に暮らす仲間はたくさん。
ガーデンが眠る夜、動物たちは柔らかく美味しい新芽を食べます。
翌朝、開花を心待ちにしていたガーデナーたちは肩を落とす・・・
その中でもより生命力のある花々が開花を始めるのです。
At the “Kaze no Garden,” the smaller flower bulbs begin to sprout.
And of course, animals too sense the start of spring.
Surrounded by a small forest of larch trees, animals such as deers, foxes, raccoons, and rabbits live together.
When the garden is asleep at night, the animals feed on the soft and beautiful buds.
The next morning, the gardeners who awaited the blooming flowers are disappointed to see the situation.
In this environment, the stronger flowers begin to bloom.
シラーシビリカ、枯れ草をかき分け伸び、今にも青紫の可愛らしい花を咲かせそうです。
Such as the:
Scilla siberica, that grow moving the dead leave and grass. They seem to soon bloom their cute blue-purple flowers.
スノードロップ ドラマの中で貞三先生が語った花言葉は”去年の恋の名残の涙” 。
Snow drop, a flower that Mr. Teizo in the drama that described it as, “tears from a parting love of the past.”
『風のガーデン』のヘッドガーデナーが語ります。
The head gardener says,
「花は生きていて毎日成長しています。私たちガーデナーができることは、花の世話をすること。
そして、オープンした時に美しいガーデンを見ていただけるよう維持することが仕事です。
花は私たちを癒してくれますし、香りもよく触って楽しい植物もあります。
ガーデンがオープンしたあかつきには、五感をフルに生かし、目で、耳で、鼻で、身体全体で
『風のガーデン』を楽しんでいただきたいなと思います。」
“Flowers are alive and growing every day. What we gardeners can do is care for these flowers and work to sustain the beautiful garden for viewing when it’s open to the
public. Flowers give us healing powers, smells wonderful and some can be enjoyed through palpation. When the garden is open again, we would like everyone to experience
it with their eyes, ears, and whole body; using all five senses.”
5月初旬の『風のガーデン』 この後、目まぐるしく植物が成長します。
From the beginning of May, the garden grows at an incredible pace.
新富良野プリンスホテルから『風のガーデン』へは、受付を済ませ送迎車に乗って森の中を進むことおよそ4分。
もちろん、歩いて向かうこともできます。
After finishing reception, from the Shin Furano Prince Hotel, it takes approximately 4 minutes by the transportation car provided.
And of course, you can travel on foot.
オススメは「モーニングガーデン」（7月1日～8月31日）♪
前日までに予約を済ませ、早朝、爽やかな空気を感じながらガーデンを散策することができます。
One recommendation is “Morning Garden” (July 1 – August 31)
If you reserve by the day before, in the refreshing air, you can appreciate the garden walk first thing in the morning.

ガーデンに植栽されている花の苗などを販売する「ルイと岳の苗床」
ソフトクリームやドリンクを販売する小さなカフェもあります。

Others such as:
The “Rose Garden” that utilizes a combination of mostly wild rose and perennial herb that reenacts a natural garden.
The recreated greenhouse like in the drama series.
“Gabriel no ie” (Gabriel’s House), a shop that has original items only sold there.
“Rui to Gaku no Naedoko” (Rui and Gaku’s Seedbed), which sells seedling of plants in the garden.
There is also a small café that sells drinks and soft ice cream.
